He had the power of his tribes and the power of the white man. Seattle once said," There was a time when our people covered the land as the waves of a wind ruffled sea covered its shell paved floor. Seattle also once said," His brave warriors will be to us a bristling wall of strength.Seattle resolved issues with the least amount of violence. Violence wasn't the way Seattle wanted to resolve his issues; he preferred the peaceful method instead. Seattle interprets this feeling in his speech with the sentence," I say, sends us word that if we do as he desires he will protect us". Also this feeling is expressed with the sentence," But let us hope that the hostilities between us may never return.In conclusion, Seattle had a lot of characteristics that made him a great leader, but there were three main ones that made him stand out. These characteristics were his wisdom, power, and his peaceful ways which resolved the problems around him. Leaders will come and ago throughout life, but Seattle will be with us forever.
