Notepad++ is a free source code editor for Windows. The project is hosted on SourceForge.net, from where it has been downloaded over seven million times.This project, based on the Scintilla editor component, is written in C++ with pure Win32 API calls and uses STL.       All you need for quick editing

      This Notepad++ is just what it's called, only deserves more pluses as far as I'm concerned.


      It offers the following, and more:

      1- Extremely quick and light startpup, editing.

      2- Coloring based on programming language. You can customize and add more

      3- Plugins available

      4- Tab based. It even saves the tabs for next time you open it

      5- Quick search in current or all open files.

      6- File format: UTF-8, Ansi, etc.


      This is what I use from it. There is plenty more.

      Quick and powerfull editing

      I recommend this tool for quick editing your documents. This is a replacement number one for standart Windows text editors.
