While Google posted them a few days ago, I've just had a chance to sift through some of the large volumes of video-based presentations from its Google I/O and Developer Day events that the company is now offering via its blog. This is quite a large and interesting library of posts, for developers of all stripes. Just check out the presentation topics you can watch here from the Google I/O event. Here, below the fold, are some of the better offerings that Google has posted from its recent events held around the world.
For advanced developers, Advanced Gadget and UI Development Using Google's AJAX APIs is definitely of interest. You'll want to have some AJAX and JavaScript knowledge under your belt. An Introduction to Android is also worth watching. You get nearly an hour of under-the-hood guidance on Android's capabilities.
Some of the video presentations provide interesting case studies. For developers focusing on software-as-a-service applications, check out Gears Case Studies: Zoho offline on Gears, Buxfer secure and offline finance with Gears. For developers focused on social networking, there is good case study information in Google Gears and MySpace - an Exploration of Powering Search on the Client.
While Google held Developer Days in Japan, China and other Asian locales, and you'll find that some of the written information on the lists of videos is not in English, the video presentations themselves are. These are worth a look, too .
