Can I sync my iPhone with my Ubuntu PC. I use Amarok to manage my music collection.
Having done some research many of the suggested methods to sync the iPhone require "jailbreaking it" to get access to the file system. I don't want to mod the iPhone in any way.

Try Wine but I'm not sure if it will work...

The jailbreaking process is safe and fast, requiring only a couple of software patches.
If you REALLY don't want to do that, you could try running Windows through VMware.

Do you really want to jailbreak your iphone? With Virtual Machines where they currently are, you might be better off just getting VMware server on Ubuntu, or creating a windows XP virtual appliance and firing that up whenever you need to sync. Painful, I know, but you can continue to upgrade your iphone and not worry that it will become an expensive piece of desk-art, in case the next upgrade jacks it up.
