I have a pretty fast connection at home - am able to achieve download speeds of upto 1 Mbps (when downloading from apple.com and the like) but my emule downloads seem to cap out at 15-20 Kbps which is crappy when you're trying to download a 10-15 gigs on a regular basis - don't ask what!! :)
Any thoughts/Suggestions??

You can start by going into the options and increasing the bandwidth (both upload and download) settings...
There are a whole bunch of free utilities available at http://shareme.com/showtop/emule-speed-up.html many of which are specifically meant for speeding up emule downloads
since you have a fast connection at home, the emule only have 15-20 kbps, it is not depend on your connection speed, but the amount of people who download the resource.
try to find another download resource.

Nice 'points whoring'! Let's have some useful answers here and not duplicates like 'try another resource''!
There are several things that affect your download speed. Part of it depends on your 'priority' as a user on the network? If you are a high-priority user, you will be higher on the download queues from other network seeders.
It is also possible that your ISP is blocking or capping your bandwidth traffic. It is also possible that your seeders are few, and have their 'uploads' capped.
I would recommend using torrent download software instead of emule.
Download speed varieds from site to site.
It basically on which server and who has hosted that site.
you can use download accelerator plus while downloading , it will boost...
