Recording a phone conversation

By 1972mlc - September 11th 2007 at 06:02 PM

I use skype, as well as dial-in conference numbers. I am hoping to use something that can help me record my phone conversation for future use or to share with people. What options do I have? Any ideas would be welcome. I do not have asterisk but if that is the answer, I could look into setting it up.

Look into 2recall - http://www.2recall.com. It is not free, but is a fairly seamless service. You get a toll free number that you set up your conference call for and then you pay $0.20 per minute. This is not cheap, plus you have a subscription you have to have. However, your conversations are then accessible over the web (to just you, hopefully!).

There are some interesting things you can do with Skype. I had looked into something similar, when we were working on streamlining tech support for customers. Take a look here: http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=12788 There are various options given that might be worth considering. There doesn't seem to be a straightforward fix, though.
