This project is a FORTH OS for embedded systems based on: a tiny byte-code interpreter (Virtual FORTH Machine), a FORTH cross-compiler to byte-code, a pure software interpretation without JIT (may be slow), a low-level core programming language, and platform-independent byte-code. It can be ported to any computer system with a few Kb of RAM. FVM can be written in any programming language or assembler. It is easy to embed into any programs/systems, and easy to understand. It has a cross-compiler implemented in 3 pages of FORTH code.   [edit]
